AM 1450 Las Cruces w Kelly O’Connell covered several topics today including the top story that captured most of the nation’s attention, the deadly F-5 tornado that ripped the city of Moore, Oklahoma to shreds. Kelly also asked the question is the mass media focusing on this tragedy to get away from the scandals that are plaguing the Obama administration? Kelly also talked some about the Mormon faith and how it conflicts with the teachings of the Christian faith and it’s Bible.
AM 1450 Las Cruces w Kelly O’Connell kicked off this week some local stories which dealt mostly with the local economy and how to bring more well paying jobs into Las Cruces and Southern New Mexico. Kelly also talked about President Obama pledge for “Hope & Change” when he was first elected. Kelly felt that Obama has done more to polarize the country down racial lines than unite us in color blind nation. Kelly also talked with several callers who felt this nation is definitely moving in the wrong direction.

Kelly and a couple of calls in regards to breast removal and is it the best solution for women. Kelly also talked about the lost trust of the American people in our government and how long can the Obama administration deflect all the scandals that have finally caught the attention of the American people.
AM 1450 Las Cruces w Kelly O’Connell had a very spirited show this morning dealing mostly with the scandals the are rocking the Obama administration. Kelly talked about the three stories which are headlining the political scene including Benghazi, the I.R.S. targeting conservative groups, and the overreach by Eric Holder and the judicial system against the Associated Press. Several callers did call in and expressed their concerns about all three issues. Kelly also included several local and state stories which dealt with water issues in Southern New Mexico, local Tea Party, and the E.M.T. caught with explosives.
AM 1450 Las Cruces w Kelly O’Connell had another interesting show this morning beginning with some local stories that included tonight’s Power ball drawing and furloughs at White Sands Missile Range. However the topic that most callers wanted to talk about was the N.M.S.U. football program. The calls were both pro and con to keeping the program going despite the many years of losing records. Kelly also talked about the loss of civil liberties in this country due to current problems with the I.R.S. and the government going after Associated Press phone records.
AM 1450 Las Cruces w Kelly O’Connell had an interesting show this morning talking about teen birth rates falling in Southern New Mexico, but is still higher than the national average in the U.S. Kelly asked listeners to call in and get their prospective on why so many kids are born out of wedlock in America and what is the solutions to keep kids from wreaking their lives with unexpected pregnancies. Kelly also talked about the responsibility of the parents to instill more values in their sons and daughters to avoid complicating their lives at such a early age.
AM 145 Las Cruces w Kelly O’Connell had a very spirited show this morning talking about red light cameras and are they there for safety or are they there to increase revenue to the city. Some callers called in and felt that people who complain about them are only complaining because they were caught breaking the law and others thought that our rights were being taken away as American citizens. Kelly argued that not all laws are just and we have the right to look at certain laws and let our government make changes to make to make them just.
AM 1450 Las Cruces w Kelly O’Connell ended the week with a very interesting show which included several local stories including water rights and the new N.M.S.U. President salary. Kelly also talked most of his show about the Federal Reserve and how the system came to be and the effects it’s having on today’s economy. Several callers expressed their concerns that the Federal Reserve may sink our economy by it’s current actions.
AM 1450 Las Cruces w Kelly O’Connell had a great show this morning that was suppose to talk about several national stories but instead got sidetracked into talking about a local story dealing with a case about “Red Light Cameras” in the city of Las Cruces. Kelly had over a dozen calls both pro and con on the subject of cameras taking away from our liberties and following the law.
AM 1450 Las Cruces w Kelly O’Connell had John the Atheist talking about his disbelief in God but still being able to be a Conservative in his views. Kelly also talked the Muslim religion not being responsible for many of our math and science skills which many today are led to believe. Kelly took several calls in defense of Christian beliefs and how they are the foundation to our country laws.
